Best DIY and Crafty Halloween Table Decor for 2011
We’ve scoured the Internet and found what we think are the best DIY Halloween tablescapes out there. Each of these has easy elements you can use for inspiration for your own DIY Halloween Party. The party gets started the minute you walk in the door and see the decorations so be sure they’re stunning. Do you have to spend a lot? No! These looks can be done on the cheap – use black and orange or green and purple fabric in non-Halloween specific patterns so they can be used over and over. Checks, dots, stripes, etc., in the perfect colors will tell the story without having to have bats, spiders, and pumpkins on them.
So whether you’re trick or treating or staying in for the night, you can do so in style. Our favorites? The simple candles with “BOO” – easily changed out with vinyl lettering to another holiday – say snowflakes for Christmas or flowers for Thanksgiving. We’re all about multi-purpose decor – spray paint is your friend as are Thrift stores. Scour them for serving pieces that you can spray paint black (be sure to top with a food-safe plate and don’t serve directly on the painted surface). Buy white plates and use stencils to paint on black spooky designs for wall decor. Mason jars painted on the outside with fun pumpkin colors make safe and multi-use “Jack-o-Lanterns” to light your path.
Halloween is a fun holiday so use your imagination and get creative!
